- 解釈：子供よりもわが身が可愛いということ。困窮した挙句、わが子を捨てることはできるが、自分の身を捨てることはできないものである。
- Literal：Although there is a thicket which deserts a child, there is no a thicket which throws away the oneself.
- Interpretation：Because, it is since oneself is lovelier than a child.
- 類義：子を棄つれども、身を棄てる藪は無し。身を捨つる藪は無い。
